Creating Innovation Workshop
Our creating innovation workshop has been designed to link the creative process of innovation with the entrepreneurial process of building a business. The workshop focuses on how to generate ideas, how to validate these ideas as a business concept, how to turn these ideas into products or services, and then how to develop a strategy and plan to start a new business or develop a new product line within an existing business to market these products or services.
Finance Without Fear Financial Statements Basics Course
One of the Institute for Finance and Entrepreneurship’s core course offerings in the Finance Without Fear Financial Statements Basics course. The course is designed to explain the core concepts of finance, and to explain how finance can be used in managing a business and to structure a business that will have a competitive advantage.
Finance Without Fear Growing Your Business Course
If you are a business owner, you know that two of the most important elements to growing your business are having a well developed plan for growth and having sufficient financial resources (i.e. cash) available to fund the growth of the business.
The Finance Without Fear Growing Your Business course is designed to provide you the tools you need to evaluate growth opportunities, forecast cash needs, and develop and implement strategies to grow your business or keep your business profitable and operating efficiently even in the current difficult economic environment.
Business Planning Boot Camp
In addition, the Institute for Finance and Entrepreneurship also sponsors a series of business planning boot camps. Our boot camps offer entrepreneurs and small-business owners the opportunity to develop their business plans in an intense hands-on three-day workshop under the guidance of the principals of the Institute for Finance and Entrepreneurship.
Our training programs are ideal not only for entrepreneurs beginning a new business but also for managers of an existing business and board members who need to develop a deeper understanding of innovation, finance, and business planning.
Mentoring Programs
The Institute for Finance and Entrepreneurship offers several mentoring programs to assist business owners and managers with the creation of a business, developing strategies for growth, and strategies to help the business survive these tough economic times.
Basic Mentoring
Our basic mentoring program is designed to provide advice and guidance to entrepreneurs and business owners who need to understand finance, create a business, or grow a business.
The basic mentoring program includes six months of unlimited access to your mentor via e-mail, phone, fax, and regular mail to assist you in resolving strategic and technical issues, consult on ideas, and provide direction and feedback.
Our basic mentoring program is filled on a first come first served basis. If there are no spaces currently available, your name will be placed on our waiting list, and you will be able to join the program as soon as space is available. The cost of the basic mentoring program is $3,000.
Structured Mentoring
Our structured mentoring plan is ideal for situations where an individual requires a highly structured relationship and a formal schedule works best to help an individual to achieve their desired goals.
Our structured mentoring plan also includes six months of unlimited access to your mentor as well as the opportunity to work with your mentor to establish the specific outcomes desired, and establish the steps, tasks, and time frames help you achieve those specific outcomes.
Our structured mentoring program is also filled on a first come first served basis. If there are no spaces currently available, your name will be placed on our waiting list, and you will be able to join the program as soon as space is available. The cost of the structured mentoring program is $6,000.
Business Plan Development Mentoring
Finally, we offer business plan development mentoring for situations where an individual requires guidance and assistance in completing a plan for new business, or a plan to grow an existing business.
Our business plan development mentoring includes not only access to a mentor, but also training in the development of a business plan or business growth plan, and the opportunity to have each section of your business plan evaluated by your mentor as it is developed.
Business plan development mentoring ideal for situations where you may need some instruction in understanding in how to structure and write a business plan, but also where you need guidance in developing financial projections or need assistance specific business areas.
Our business plan development mentoring is always conducted by one of the principals of the Institute for Finance and Entrepreneurship. The cost of the business plan development mentoring is $3,500.
Prior to beginning any of our mentoring programs, you and your mentor speak either in-person or via a phone to call to require expectations and requirements, and agree on the mentoring program that is right for you.
